Benching

Benching is like keeping someone as a backup plan and not letting that person leave the relationship or, fully commit to the relationship. The person benched is always in a state of dilemma. In my opinion, it’s worse than Goshting as in this case, you are engaging a person; giving them hope that you can come into a relationship, and wasting his time playing with his feelings.

Benching can mean here that why break up when you can have two or more boyfriends at a time? Just bench him as a backup and have as many boyfriends as you can.
