We have recently seen some male/female dynamics openly exposed in the media through behavior expressed by both men and women that, for the most part, occurs at men’s expense–dynamics that come from a culture that grants one sex power over the other as a tradition that combines with modern misandry.
Both the Johnny Depp, Amber Heard and Will Smith, Jada Pinkett, and Chris Rock examples are revealing of this. Female control is, as a common standard, usually very covert, hidden by a feminine mask and under the cloak of masculinity as men, groomed from boyhood, do the dirty work and are pitted against each other, and are as well to take their abuse like ‘a man’. It’s seldom ever so openly exposed as has come to light in these examples though. (e.g., Johney’s first trial resulted in his conviction, but having some fortitude combined with self-respect, as well as the money, he didn’t take it). But as we dig deeper we are able to see who the real culprits (puppet masters) are.
The effect is seen in both Chris Rock and Johnny Depp being the victims, whether directly or indirectly, of women. But this isn’t to say that Will Smith isn’t responsible for his own actions as an individual either as a white knight chivalrous simp bound to serve his woman (‘queen’). He acted as her errand boy to assault Chris Rock as men are often pitted against each other by women much like a computer or robot. (Ironically, the movie I-Robot comes to mind, except in this case Will Smith is one of the robots.) He instantly reacts with a whole-hearted laugh to what Chris Rock says, then, being controlled much as a human robot, with no mind of his own, he, only upon seeing the dismay of his controlling wife, changes his behavior 180 degrees even to the extent of acting out in a violent act.
This is power and control along with its abuse and misuse. But how it is used is not as much the concern to be revealed as is the fact it’s there, to begin with. Is this a mere exception to the rule, or is it how the female power over men, that already exists, is being used? It’s usually much more covert (e.g., covert narcissist) than this. Men are groomed from boyhood to serve women as to define their ‘manhood’. In the same way, men are mere figureheads in a government bound to serve women–a matriarchy that conveniently passes as a patriarchy providing the effect to conveniently hold men accountable. (Would men make laws at their own expense (VAWA, Title IX, Rape Shield Laws, etc.) if we lived in a patriarchy?
These blatant examples demonstrate how men are controlled by women in our society and how powerful women are and continue to be. Men raised from boyhood to serve women as to define their manhood are bound by women’s approval for a self-worth not based in their own right but in women’s. Liberation, let alone basic equality, is something men have yet to acquire.
