Can you imagine being a father and all your kids are dropping your surname one by one while keeping their mother’s and even her grandmother’s(mom’s side) surname? This is exactly what’s happening with Brad Pitt. Vivienne, the 18-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has filed a petition in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to remove Pitt from her last name, as reported by PEOPLE. According to the court document (which PEOPLE got), the reason for the name change was simply written: “personal”. On November 2, a hearing on this petition will be held. If approved, her legal name will change from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. This is not just it. Vivienne, the youngest daughter, is not the first of the former couple’s children to distance themselves from the Pitt surname. Her siblings Zahara, Maddox, and Shiloh have also adopted or sought to use the Jolie surname in recent years. Shiloh’s legal name change was approved in 2024, while the other siblings’ petitions proceed through the courts.
In June 2026, a source told HeatWorld that “Brad is absolutely crushed that the kids are one-by-one disowning him formally,” the insider said, “it’s the definition of soul destroying and almost impossible for him to comprehend.”
“He feels most hurt out of everything that happened with Angie that his children don’t want a public association with his last name,” a source exclusively shared with Us Weekly. “It’s been very difficult.” “[Brad] still does hope and keeps the door open to eventual reconciliation, hopefully with all of them, but it is their decision,” the source explained. “He has no power, and he can’t force them.”

The biggest cr*me done by single moms with this syndrome is keeping a loving father away from his children and making him look like a de*dbe*t in front of his children.

As said, the main source of income for these types of women is child support. The first thing that they do is to cash the child support check. These types of women are mostly gold diggers. So, her main aim or goal is to be a single mother to a rich guy’s child.
DENY ALL ACCESS
Then they deny all access to the father to blackmail him. They manipulate and gaslight children into making up fake stories about the father being an ab*ser, that he did domestic vi*lence, and all. She cuts off all the calls and meetings of the children with his father. To conclude, she is a narcissists who feed on attention and admiration.
CALL FATHER A “DE*DB*AT”
After all this, they label the father a de*db*at who pays the child support, lawyers, and other court costs, being late on mortgage or rent and utilities, and as a result, he has maxed his loans, his pantry is empty, and his credit is ruined.
CLAIM THEY HAVE TO DO IT ALL BY THEMSELVES
Kids, as they are children, don’t care about child support, who was married to who, and why they don’t like each other.
Kids, on the contrary, care about who’s there for school drop-off/pickup, who makes them dinner, who they hear cheering from the stands, who stayed up till 3 am finishing their costume, etc.
So, they claim that they have to do it all by themselves, hiding all the information from the kids in the above DE*DB*AT point.
THEN BEGIN ALIENATION
After all this, they start alienating the dad, making him an absent/de*db*at/abu*ive father, and then she fills the vacant position with her new boyfriends to enjoy the child support with.
This process runs monthly as the child support check comes monthly, but the gaslighting or manipulation is so high the kids start ha*ing their loving father who is working and sacrificing all things to pay the child support.
