In a June 2025 interview with The People, Scarlett Johansson said, “I also think it’s easy to create a lot of jealousy when a person is not involved in the industry, because actors by nature are very free-spirited and they create very intimate relationships with people at work,” she went on to add “They can be loyal to a partner and also very engaged in all these other kinds of relationships, and I think it can be a blurry line for some people.”

Johansson admits, whether she realizes it or not, that Hollywood actors are basically impossible to have a serious relationship with. If we read between the lines, “free-spirited” could very well mean that they are promiscuous and incapable of having an intimate relationship with each other. Which coincides with the many examples of infidelity or downright se*ual sc*ndals we have seen in Hollywood over the past decades.

It’s unclear in this example if she is trying to shift the blame to the “civilian” partner or if she reflects on their own shortcoming by accident.

Any human being should be able to separate work & private life without resorting to cheating or flirting with others. Saying it’s because of her job feels like an excuse. [Points added by Dan]

Follow, I’d rather trust a car with no brakes than “she’s just a friend”. As a man, we know that no man is just a friend. He has some intentions. Same with a male best friend.

When a woman cheats, she has no effect even after the 50th time. She parties and giggles. But when a boy gets his hair cut by a different barber, their dp on WhatsApp goes black. They feel very bad for betraying their regular barber.

Truth always comes out, be it today, tomorrow, or later. Everyone’s feelings, including a man’s, are important. If you don’t want to be in a relationship, just go and break up with him/her, as it’s his/her right to know. Never use someone’s feelings to control him/her. Infidelity of any type is because of a lack of respect and not a lack of love. Today, men have become simps for women; they have no self-respect, and they are the ones due to which women are on a pedestal and use men as pawns to serve them.

In the end, the quote by Sacha Guitry keeps coming into my mind, which says, “When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her.”
