When we label Men as the perpetrators of crime or a villain and women as the victims or innocents just without knowing the case, is it true Justice? For the same reason, Ravan is being termed evil instead of Manthara, Shurpanakha, Tataka, Holika and Putana. Here in this article, we will tell the alternatives of let’s kill the Ravan within to let’s kill the Manthara within and so on.

Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Manthara
In Ramayan, the main villain was not Ravan but it was Manthra. Manthra used to provoke Kakai against Lord Rama. She was the reason why Lord Rama had to go for exile but everyone still says that Kill the Ravan Within. She always wanted to disrupt the peace and harmony in Ayodhya. For this, she used to play tricks. As said It was Manthra’s evil mind’s work that made Lord Rama go into exile. Kakai once saved King Dashrath’s life and so he gave her 3 wishes and those were kept due. This was Mantra who influenced Kakai to send Rama to exile for 14 years in the forest.
Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Shurpanakha
Shurpnakha was Ravan’s sister because of whom Ravan kidnapped Sita. Ravan killed Surpanakha’s husband in his defence which Surpnakha didn’t know and went to live in the forest always wanting to take revenge on Ravan. Surpanakha got attracted to Ram in the forest Panchwati but Ram was loyal to Sita so, she proposed to Lakshman his younger brother who cut her nose. Taking benefit from this event Surpnakha went to Ravan and told him to take her revenge as she knew only a God or its form could kill Ravan. Ravan then abducted Sita and later on, got killed by Lord Rama.

Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Holika
Hiranyakashipu who was Holika’s brother wanted to kill his son Prahlad who was Lord Vinshnu’s devotee as Hiranyakashipu thought that only he was to be worshiped. He tried to kill Prahlad many times but failed in the end when he told Holika his sister to kill Prahlad as she had a boon that she would never get burnt by fire. She took Prahlad on his lap and sat on the fire but the blessing on Holika didn’t work and she was burnt while Prahlad was safe from the fire.
Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Tataka
Tataka was a demoness who didn’t follow dharma. She used to do atrocities on innocent people. As Vishwamitra had to do prayers he told Lord Ram to kill her which he did.
Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Putana
Putana was a demoness sent by Kansa his mother’s brother to kill the newly born Lord Krishna. She is disguised as a beautiful woman and enters Gokul. She tries to breastfeed Lord Krishna with the poisonous milk but in return, Lord Krishna sucks life out of her and kills her.
Let’s Kill The Ravan Within: Mahishi
Mahishi was Mahisasur’s sister. Mahishi was killed by Manikantha who was the son of Mahadev and Vishnu.
